Project Description:

This interdisciplinary project will incorporate the disciplines of Computer Science and Mathematics. However the project is specifically housed within the Hope College Department of Computer Science.
We will be reimplementing various graph pebbling algorithms from Java to C/C++ so they can be parallelized using OpenMP. We will then compare the performance of the two versions of the algorithms to see if Java or C/C++/OpenMP is more efficient.
Applicants must have taken CSCI 255 and preference will be given to applicants who have taken CSCI 385 and/or already have some experience with OpenMP.
