Project Description:

This interdisciplinary project will incorporate the discipline of Nursing to be housed within the Hope College Department of Nursing. Motherís Milk for Michigan Infants (MMMI) is a research group that focuses on behavioral, biological, psychological, and sociological factors associated with maternal milk supply and composition. This arm of the research group will be to develop a research grant for an interventional study examining the effect of lactation support combined with portable testing of human milk sodium and potassium on breastfeeding outcomes at 3, 6 and 12 months. This project will be virtually part-time for over 8 weeks.
